There are two standards used for unlicensed wireless connectivity: 802.11b/g and 802.11a. Each standard has its advantages and disadvantages which makes each of them suitable for different applications.

The following diagram shows a recent installation that MicroServe engineered, installed, and configured to provide wireless connectivity between two offices when traditional T1 service was unavailable. The problem was that there was a 5 story brick building blocking the line of sight between the two offices. The solution was to use a repeater installation on the roof of the 5 story building to complete the circuit.
