System Administrator / Network Engineer (Maryland & Colorado)

MicroServe Consulting is a unique provider of IT Solutions, Services, and Equipment to Small, Medium, & Large businesses in the Baltimore - Washington Metro Area. We are looking for qualified people to join our Network Engineering Team!

  • Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer Windows Server 2003/2008 infrastructure, maintaining core infrastructure services;
  • Active Directory, Hyper-V, Group Policy, File Services, SQL & Windows Clusters
  • Maintain Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, Spam Filtering, BES & ActiveSync
  • Support & Maintain iSCSI SAN's
  • Support & Maintain Cisco infrastructure
  • Support & Maintain VMWare infrastructure
  • Experience with Sonicwall appliances a plus
  • Design, develop, and deploy network and server infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems & perform preventative maintenance
  • Support End Users through a technical and consultative approach

  • Job Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience as Systems Administrator / Network Engineer
  • Excellent customer service a MUST
  • Prior consulting experience a plus
  • Experience with mid to large size organizations
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience configuring firewalls, routers, switches & WAN devices
  • Experience interacting with telco providers to resolve circuit problems
  • Network design and implementation
  • MSCE or MCITP certification a Plus

Administrative / Operations Assistant

Must have the following skills:

  • Ability to answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone.
  • Strong customer service skills are a must
  • Interact directly with clients to determine needs
  • Ability to dispatch and schedule technical team
  • Enter Service Tickets
  • Very good Attention to detail
  • Prioritize and escalate tickets
  • Follow Up with techs for time billing
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Project)
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Must be able to complete work without supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Team Oriented
  • Familiarity with I.T. equipment, IT services, telecom services, and terminology is helpful
  • Good work ethic
  • Good attendance record
  • Accurately type 50 wpm
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Minimum AA degree in business-related field with 2 years of working experience
